My stay at the program has dramatically changed my life. My drug of choice was everything and anything and my life was out of control. I was planning to stay for 30 days, however after my eyes, ears and heart were opened, my family and I decided that 30 more days would be beneficial. I have learned how to love and respect myself and others around me. I have rededicated my life to God and stopped attempting to control everything around me. I have been given a new life and my family has become closer due to the family program. I would not change my experience for anything. I learned addiction can be conquered. I am clean and serene still.

Recovery is the best program I could have experienced. I was addicted to prescription medication for pain and anxiety and other conditions I feel I was over medicated. My husband also passed away and I don't remember about 6 weeks after his death. I woke in the hospital 6 weeks later. I had taken an overdose of medication accidentally. I was so weak and tired I stayed with my children until my daughter found this program and it is a Christian program. When they told me about it , the fact it was based on faith , Bible study, love, eating well, exercise, and learning to live a good productive life, I knew it was for me. My sons went to check it out for me and said they were better for having spent 3 hours there. They picked out my room for me. Faith was the name of my room. Yes I am a born again Christian that made some bad decisions and learned so much from them. Now my life is full of a faith much stronger than it was a trust deeper knowing that the Lord will guide and lead me through life if I depend on Him.
The program director, Denise, is a wonderful Christian lady. She will help you figure out what you need to do, help you to achieve an understanding of what you can do with the Lords help, if want it bad enough. If you even think you need this program, you must have a reason to think you need help. So call Denise, she will tell you more about the program.
It's small, personal, not medical, relaxing atmosphere. The beach is a good place to walk and think, collect shells, listen to the waves and get a tan. Go shopping, movies, exercise, walk, eat good meals. Learn to live again. Try this program. My family has me back again. Better than ever... Praise the Lord.

I am so very grateful to have been a part of this recovery program. This experience has dramatically changed my life and opened my eyes and my heart to see that the lord has plans for me that I never dreamed possible while in active addiction.
The women and men here at this recovery home are truly god sent and an absolute blessing. I am so very thankful that I took that first step and decided to place myself in this recovery program. My life is constantly changing; and I am now able to manage my life without the use of drugs and alcohol. I am free from the bondage I had to alcohol. The women and staff here are absolutely wonderful, they have become my family, encouraging me, loving me, and guiding me. It scares me to think where I would be if I had not come here. I have learned how to live life on life's terms and how to conquer my addiction.

My family and I highly recommend Footprints in Recovery. For years we struggled to "change" our daughter's habits. Much money was spent on doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and medicine. Her recovery began day one at Christian based, Footprints in Recovery. There are no medical treatments; simply a spiritual journey where the addict can learn to like themselves again and to appreciate and be thankful for life.
